Of je nu op zoek bent naar een bestemming voor jouw huwelijksreis, op zoek bent naar de mooiste stranden of gewoon een once- in- a lifetime experience wilt, deze spectaculaire stranden zijn de perfecte uitvalsbasis. Costa Brava is een van de mooiste delen van Spanje. Je hebt er adembenemende uitzichten, good food en een heel fijne sfeer. Vandaag deel ik mijn favoriete stranden, dit zijn plekjes waar ik stuk voor stuk goede herinneringen aan heb. Je bent gewaarschuwd: na het bekijken van deze foto’s zal je ongetwijfeld een reisje willen boeken. Droom eventjes weg en waan jezelf al in het zonnetje met een cocktail in de hand.

Sa Tuna

Goed nieuws voor iedereen die een hekel heeft aan zand tussen de tenen, dit strand met stenen zal jullie wel bevallen! Het is een van de mooiste stranden uit de regio. Sa Tuna is een oud vissersdorpje met prachtige witte huizen en gekleurde deuren. Dit plaatsje is ontsnapt aan massa toerisme en het is er over het algemeen niet druk. Al vinden steeds meer mensen de weg naar dit prachtig strand! Er zijn enkele geweldige restaurants met zeezicht en als ik jullie er eentje mag aanbevelen dan is dat Hostal Sa Tuna. Hier snuif je ‘s avonds de typische Catalaanse sfeer op tussen locals die maar al te graag lang tafelen. Je hebt er een prachtig zicht over de baai én het is eten is er enorm lekker.

Naast goed eten biedt Sa Tuna nog véél meer. Tussen de huizen door zit er een prachtig pad verborgen, dat je helemaal naar boven leidt. Daar heb je een prachtig zicht! Het is dan wel vermoeiend maar dat moet je er voor over hebben. Er zijn meerdere paden en deze vormen verbindingen tussen de verschillende baaitjes.

Sa Riera

Sa Riera kan je zowel bereiken via de weg van Begur of Pals, of je komt te voet via het padje rond de rotsen. Dit strand is wel toeristisch, maar wat veel toeristen niet weten is dat er nog een kleiner strand is naast het grote strand. Oeps, nu heb ik het verklapt! Dat kleine strandje is véél gezelliger en perfect om te snorkelen omwille van het felblauwe water.

Daarnaast is er ook een pad én dit leidt naar de plaats waar ik deze foto genomen heb. Deze wandeling is zeker de moeite waard want je komt de mooiste plekken tegen en er zijn adembenemende uitzichten.

Calella de Palafrugell

Calella de Palafrugell, je zal er waarschijnlijk al wel van gehoord hebben. Het wordt beschouwd als een van de meeste mooie stranden uit de regio. Ik begrijp ook waarom: de witte huizen, de bootjes, al die goede restaurants en gewoon een prachtig uitzicht. In Calella zijn er meerdere stranden, die allemaal verbonden zijn door wegjes. Het grootste en meest gekende strand is Canadell.

Er zijn twee restaurants die ik absoluut kan aanbevelen. Bar 3 Pins, dit is eigenlijk meer een bar en bevindt zich op het hoogste punt onder prachtige bomen. Het is er aangenaam zitten bij volle zon door het zeebriesje en de schaduw van de bomen. Het biedt een uitzicht over de volledige baai, een van de grootste troeven. Tip: ‘s avonds is het er heerlijk vertoeven, proef zeker eens van de heerlijke cocktails!

Op zoek naar een trendy restaurant? Dan moet je bij Tragamar zijn. Dit restaurant biedt originele tapas, het eten is er heerlijk! Daarnaast is het interieur ook leuk en biedt het restaurant een prachtig zicht op de baai.

Aigua Blava

Last but not least: Aigua Blava. Het is echt een van de mooiste stranden in de Costa Brava. Letterlijk betekent het blauw water in het Catalaans en als je dit strand ooit al bezocht hebt, dan weet je waarom! Het water is helder blauw, echt prachtig. En ook perfect om te snorkelen uiteraard. Er is een duikcentrum in Aigua Blava, ik zou zeggen: give it a try!

Er zijn ook enkele goede restaurants, mijn favoriet is Mar i Vent, maar dat is spijtig genoeg nog tot augustus 2018 gesloten door renovaties. Toch zijn er nog tal van andere mogelijkheden, dus verhongeren zal je hier zeker niet doen.

Whether you’re going on a honeymoon, want to find the most beautiful beaches or are planning a once- in- a lifetime trip with your hubby, these spectacular beaches are the perfect starting point for your next dream getaway. Costa Brava is one of the most beautiful parts of Spain. The views are breathtaking, the food is great and I love the ambience. Today I’m sharing my favourite beaches with you. Warning: you’ll definitely want to book a trip if you see these pictures.

Sa Tuna

Those not fond of getting sand between their toes will definitely like Sa Tuna. This pebble beach is one of the most beautiful places in this region. Sa Tuna is an old fisherman’s village. It’s never too crowded and you can feel that typical Catalan ambience. There are some great restaurants out there and I would recommend Hostal Sa Tuna. You’ll have an amazing view and the food is delicious.

If you want to see beautiful views of the rough coastline, you should follow the little path from the charming village of Sa Tuna to Aiguafreda. There are in fact different coastal paths offering breathtaking views. It’s worth the walk!  All these beautiful white houses, the boats and the landscape. It feels like this place is untouched by mass tourism.

Sa Riera

Sa Riera can be reached by road from Begur and Pals, or you can enjoy a walk around the cliffs. This beach is a little bit more touristy but what the majority of tourists don’t know is the fact there is a small hidden beach on its right side. That small beach is much more wonderful and is the perfect place for snorkling! There is a small path which leads to the place where I took this beautiful photo.

A must-see when you decide to visit this place! Follow the path and discover the most amazing places and views. Perfect for Instagram- worthy photos as well.

Calella de Palafrugell

Calella de Palafrugell, you might have heard of this place already. It’s one of Costa Brava’s gems and is considered to be one of the most beautiful places on the entire Mediterranean. I can totally see why: the whitewashed houses, great restaurants and beautiful views are just amazing. In Calella there isn’t just one single beach, there are multiple beaches connected by promenades. The largest beach is Canadell.

There are 2 restaurants I recommend. The first one is Bar 3 Pins, located on top of the hill overlooking the entire bay. It offers breathtaking views and is really cozy at night. The cocktails are great as well!

Tragamar is a trendy restaurant in Calella. I totally recommend this place! The food is delicious, and again the view is amazing as well.

Aigua Blava

Last but not least: Aigua Blava. It’s probably one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Brava. Aigua Blava means blue water in Catalan and if you’ve visited this beach, you do understand why. The water is crystal blue and perfect for snorkling. There is a diving centre for those who would love to give this a try!

There are a few great restaurants out there, my favourite is Mar i Vent, which is closed until August 2018 because of renovations. But there are some other great ones as well.
